Robot gripper for automated handling of bread crates
For a client, JH Engineering & Projects developed a fully custom robot gripper for a Fanuc robot, enabling plastic Broban bread crates to be processed automatically.
JH Engineering & Projects managed the complete process: from engineering and production of the components through to assembly of the gripper.
The robot gripper is equipped with the necessary sensors to perform checks during the process and guarantee reliable handling. In addition, the gripper features a tool-change system, allowing it to be replaced quickly – within a few minutes – in the event of a defect or crash. This minimises downtime and increases process continuity.
The gripper is designed for high processing speeds and can stack and unstack up to five bread crates simultaneously, achieving very short cycle times. Due to its application in the food industry, the robot gripper is made entirely from stainless steel, ensuring optimal hygiene and durability.
Initial tests with the robot gripper were carried out using our own Fanuc demonstration robot. Thanks to this test setup, JH Engineering & Projects is able to thoroughly verify and optimise functionality and performance in advance.

Design and production of hotmelt moulds
For a client, JH Engineering & Projects has developed various hotmelt moulds for overmoulding connectors and cables. These moulds are fully custom-designed and tailored to the specific application and product requirements.
The moulds are CNC-milled from high-quality aluminium, ensuring precision, durability and consistent product quality. In addition, the moulds are fitted with interchangeable insert parts, allowing multiple cable types to be overmoulded using a single mould. This provides extra flexibility and efficiency in the production process.
By overmoulding with hotmelt, cables and connectors receive durable protection against moisture, dirt and mechanical stress. This results in a robust and reliable product with improved resistance to impact and weather conditions.

Engineering of an automatic spreading machine
For a partner, JH Engineering & Projects provided the complete engineering including 3D design for an automatic straw spreading machine. The machine is used to spread straw evenly across stables, cubicle housing or agricultural land, for example. It ensures a fast and efficient distribution of straw, providing animals with a dry and comfortable surface. Based on this engineering, the partner independently assembled the machine and installed and commissioned it at the end customer’s site.
The spreading machine enables more efficient working, achieving greater capacity in less time. At the same time, the automation contributes to an ergonomically responsible working method for the user. Furthermore, the use of this automatic spreading machine has reduced dust development during the spreading process.

For a manufacturer of high-quality construction hardware, JH Engineering & Projects has analysed and optimised an existing saw-milling machine. In this fully automated line, aluminium bar stock is processed into a semi-finished product, with multiple milling motors playing a crucial role.
Due to technical issues in the existing installation, the machine no longer met the desired performance levels. JH Engineering & Projects carried out a thorough analysis and developed a targeted improvement proposal.
This resulted in a rebuild of the milling motors and optimisation of the machine configuration, after which the installation was successfully brought back into production. The result: improved performance with less machine downtime and a more reliable production process.

For a client, JH Engineering & Projects developed and realised two mobile workbenches with ball transfer units. These benches make it possible to move wooden panels easily and process them from the correct position.
Thanks to the ball transfer units, the panels can be moved smoothly in multiple directions, ensuring an efficient and ergonomically responsible working method for employees. Because the workbenches have a modular design, they can easily be connected to one another, making it possible to handle panels in a wide variety of sizes.
